Testimonials

Gary, you came to my rescue at St David's Catholic Church, Mold hours before a recording with the BBC. I cannot thank you and your team enough for the wonderful professionalism and fantastic standard of service whilst you TRANSFORMED my two manual, Walker extension organ in to a lively instrument. You have brought to life, an instrument approaching its 60th birthday, that is worthy to give praise to God!

In a recent three day Intensive Care Visit, Gary Owens Organ Builders succeeded in fixing numerous action and wind faults and giving our Hill organ a complete tune. It is now playing and sounding better than at any time in anyone's memory and showing off it's glorious 1911 colour. Gary's professional skills are of the highest order and he brings huge personal commitment to an organ under his care.

Since Gary Owens and his team took over the tuning and maintenance of the Minster organ, it is no exaggeration to say that the instrument has been transformed. Gary is an extremely skilled tuner, who has coped admirably with some incredibly high-pitched mixtures. The whole organ now sings beautifully. He is also diligent in locating and curing faults, where necessary undertaking proper repairs of parts which in the past had merely been patched up. I have been impressed by Gary's dedication and hard work, and the immense care he takes to make sure he leaves the instrument at its best. I have no hesitation in recommending his company.

The transformation in the tonal resources of our fine Hill organ in the months since Gary Owens and his team took over its maintenance, has been startling and very real. Discovering the instrument's true potential is proving both a delight and joy. Organ builders are easy enough to find, but craftsmen of this calibre are not.

Go-Organs achieved a stunning transformation to the organ in Giggleswick School Chapel. The rebuilt organ successfully blends the remaining Willis stops with new material, and has proved to be a versatile and reliable musical instrument

Simon Clarkson
Former Director of Music - Giggleswick School

I have played it a little and find it wonderfully versatile for an instrument of its size; the action has surpassed my expectations, if I may say so, and the whole thing is comfortable, responsive and satisfying. The whole project has unquestionably given us the finest organ sound that building has ever heard. It has been a joy to hear Simon playing for our services and rehearsals; we all love the richness, brilliance and subtlety of its tonal variety, and the girls in the Senior Choir are amused (or possibly bemused) that for the first time in their history they have to make a real effort to compete with the considerable increase in volume.

Director of Music - Sherborne Girls School

Gary has made a splendid job of the tuning at Woburn Parish Church. I have been an organist for 30 years and I don't think the organ has ever sounded better. He also managed to rectify a number of tonal and mechanical faults that others had found difficult.

Organist - Woburn PC of St Mary

We moved to GO Organs this year following several recommendations. We could not be more pleased with the care lavished on the organ at St Mark's so far. It sounds and plays like a different instrument, and nothing has been too much trouble for this company, which combines a real love of the job with such friendly courtesy.

Michael Bowden
Director of Music, Regent's Park, St Mark's

Our organ was built by Mander in the 1950's for a small rural church. It required maintenance to bring it to full working order and the work carried out by Go-Organ Builders has been excellent in every aspect. The advice given was considerate and respected the resources of such small churches. The care and quality of the work was accompanied by outstanding customer service and care. The outcome is already one of great value in every way. For any small church seeking to bring its organ up to an acceptable working standard then go for it!
